Airgap is the minimum distance between armature and solenoid. It has affect on pre injection and low delivery.

PROCEDURE:

STEP1

Assembled the head n°10 (DX75631, probing pin 38x2) with the dial gauge and fit the instrument in the dedicated dial gauge holder for coil measuring, tool n°14 (DX75277). Set the instrument in microns.

STEP2

Place the support touching the coil so that the dial gauge probing pin will be in contact with the cilinder inside the coil. Reset the dial gauge

STEP3

Keeping the support in touch with the coil, slide the dial gauge so that the probing pin will touch the coil.

The read measure will be the "Airgap"
